On the Horizon:
a story of place

June 27, 2026
concluding @sunset
Fort Steele Heritage Town

On the Horizon is an outdoor gathering shaped by sound, story, and place. Set beneath open sky, the concert brings together orchestral music, Eagle Bear Spirit drummers, and an award-winning trans-masculine poet, Smokii Sumac, in a shared celebration of the land that holds us. Drums carry across the air with a steady, grounding pulse, while spoken word threads through the evening and music unfolds in conversation with the landscape itself.

Designed as an experience rather than a traditional concert, the evening invites audiences to listen differently, with the land as both setting and partner. It is a moment of connection, reflection, and gratitude, honouring where we come from and what lies ahead.
