“Normally I would start one of these with “I am a soprano from the picturesque Kootenay region of BC”, but that isn’t news for most of you! I am excited to sing my first symphony concert in my hometown. I started singing classically at the University of Lethbridge where I received a Bachelor of Music. After graduation I was accepted into the University of Toronto for opera studies. I have had amazing opportunities in Toronto, but I must admit that I miss the size and speed of Cranbrook. Coming home to sing is nerve racking and exhilarating all at the same time. I truly hope you enjoy the evening of music we have prepared for you!”

“I am so excited to be able to come home and make music with the symphony that helped solidify my love of classical music! One of my strongest memories from my childhood in Cranbrook was going to the Symphony’s Christmas concert shortly after moving there and being amazed that I could see an orchestra play in my new hometown.  From the time I moved to Cranbrook, I have performed in many different capacities, from highland dance and ballet to the Mount Baker musicals and choirs.   It means so much to me to be able to continue sharing music with my home town even now that I live so far away in Toronto.”
